The great reference and leader of the family is 911 which over the years has always stood out above the others. It has now been officially confirmed that versions of the Carrera 4 and 4S receive a full update and will be available before the end of the year.

A few weeks ago, since we moved to Porsche models 4 and 4S would be renewed, including convertible versions, but few details were specified time. However, now this update of the range has been made official and all the options of the new 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S will be exhibited for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, which will take place in about a month, in late September. Thats when well know the final release date of these models, but we do know it will be between October and December this year.

Progression by Porsche is indisputable. In recent years there has been progress that other manufacturers have just copied. Porsche not only known for its luxury and its sporting qualities, but also for its great team and ongoing studies to improve each and every one of the models.

Refinement and tuning
in the same way that the various Formula 1 teams must prepare their cars specifically for each circuit, the members of the German firm, the 911 have adapted to the current needs of society. Although the predecessor versions of the options 4 and 4S showed some interesting numbers, they have been increased in this update, staying one step ahead of the 911 Carrera S.

First, it highlights a significant weight reduction, allowing squeeze even more performance, while consumption levels and CO2 emissions are reduced. With regard to the dimensions of the vehicle, all options have been slightly increased in size by a few millimeters, to cap a perfect silhouette. The technology also includes one of the lead roles in the new 911 Carrera 4 and 4S, using LED in many cases, and all kinds of luxury items to enhance driving sensations that can transmit a vehicle of this type.

Changes in the mechanical and performance
to improve the performance over predecessor versions have been a number of changes and modifications to the mechanical part. The four-wheel drive is one of the most striking elements in this update.

Now, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 with an output of 350 hp is able to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 285 km / h. In the case of Carrera 4S, its power is 400 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds. Top speed in this case is 299 km / h. These features are for the hardtop, in the case of convertible options, both acceleration and maximum speed slightly decline.

With regard to their consumption, the Carrera 4 is capable of maintaining average levels of 8.6 l/100km, while the 4S version does not exceed the 9.1 l/100km. Again, the options are increased their consumption convertible by a few tenths.

The Porsche 911 is still keeping alive the legend and is currently one of the major figures of the luxury sports. Although it has large rivals like Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe itself, its history is heavy and this helps their sales levels are kept within good numbers. In the upcoming Paris Motor Show we can determine all the details of this new update for the 911 Carrera.
